William Barter, FCP's Head of Operations Analysis, is to become a Fellow of the Institution of Railway Operators. As well as his standing within the operations profession, this reflects William's contribution to the IRO's education programme and work in tutoring degree students on the Operational Planning, Economics and Managing Operations modules. Railway Children
Railway Children supports street children, many of whom live in and around railway stations, all over the world. In 2006 Railway Children helped over 24,000 children.
Railway Children was launched at Waterloo station by Bob Horton, then the Chairman of Railtrack; and one of FCP's directors - Tony Roche, then a Main Board Director of British Rail, in May 1995.
Railway Benefit Fund
The Railway Benefit Fund was founded in 1858 (as the Railway Benevolent Institute) to provide financial support to current and ex railway employees and their dependents when they need help through illness, injury, bereavement or adversity.
