Engineering consultants have extensive strategic and hands-on
experience in developing and implementing some of the largest railway
projects in UK
railways. From electrification of the East Coast Main line between
London, Yorkshire and Scotland in the 1990's to the most recent
implementation of Britain's latest high speed route, the West Coast
Main Line between London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and
Glasgow, FCP's directors have taken lead roles in securing
value-for-money outcomes that deliver effective railways.
FCP's
experience is not confined to any one engineering discipline ranging
from traction and rolling stock to all kinds of single or
multi-functional infrastructure
projects, including those that straddle the safety critical
wheel-rail interface. We have expertise
in permanent way, structural, signalling and electrification
engineering of the fixed infrastructure and in mechanical and
electrical engineering relating to traction and rolling stock.
FCP
also works elsewhere in the world on major engineering projects,
including currently in the Republic of South
Africa and Argentina, and has
experience of operating environments of all kinds, both freight
and passenger operations.
