FCP's environmental statement relates to the use of railways. The company is committed to the industry because of the contribution we believe it can make to the improvement of our national environment. Our mission statement makes clear the commitment 'to support the rail revival through effective partnerships'.

Our policy is our 'raison d'etre' which is to work with clients whose aims and objectives are to encourage the greater use of railways in the UK. We work actively with a partner organisation, the company Entec, for assignments that require an emphasis in a technical sense on environmental improvement. Entec and FCP are members of the SRA's Operations and Safety Panel.

No FCP directors or associates have access to company cars and our expenses policy relates to the use of public transport, it is rare any car mileage expenses are re-imbursed.

In our day to day activities we work unconditionally within the context of European Standard ISO 14000 for environmental management. Our emphasis is on a paperless environment and we take every opportunity to minimise the environmental impact a business such as ours can have. As specifics, toxic materials are disposed of, or recycled in accordance with best practice.
