In addition to its work in supporting franchise bids by private sector companies, FCP has also undertaken extensive work on behalf of public franchising and concessioning authorities to procure the delivery of passenger services. Indeed its work at both interfaces of the contractual divide provides FCP with unique insights into the requirements and needs of both the public and private sectors, benefiting the overall result for all parties.
In the UK FCP has provided the people to lead and negotiate a number of high profile passenger train operating franchises on behalf of the former Strategic Rail Authority and has provided support including that given to Transport for London in re-mapping services and resources as part of the development of new or changed operating areas.
As a result FCP has substantial experience in a number of related areas including demand forecasting and modelling and contracts negotiation.
