First Class Partnerships

Gift

It is the policy of First Class Partnerships not to allow the giving or receiving of gifts in the course of a business relationship.

First Class Partnerships employees, their immediate families or close relatives may not receive any gifts from individuals or entities that do business with First Class Partnerships (or are likely to do business with First Class Partnerships). Anyone who receives a gift should advise the MD or Chairman, who will determine how to dispose of such gifts. It is the company's general policy to return all gifts to the sender, with a note of appreciation explaining First Class Partnerships' gift policy. However, in circumstances where the gift is perishable or return is otherwise not possible, gifts may be donated to a charitable cause.

In addition, First Class Partnerships and its employees may not make any gifts to individuals or entities that do business with First Class Partnerships (or are likely to do business with First Class Partnerships). First Class Partnerships defines "gifts" broadly to include physical items as well as entertainment, transportation, food (excluding approved working meals), alcoholic beverages, recreation trips and tickets to sporting or similar events. For specific cases, the Board may consider the full circumstances behind applications for derogation against this policy and where all the conditions have been thoroughly reviewed and are considered not to run contrary to the spirit of this Policy, and if explicitly approved by them, derogation may be granted.
