FCP has many consultants with the capability to manage projects and programmes within the railway context. These can be projects of all shapes and kinds – commercial and operational as well as technical. Since 2000 FCP has run a number of key projects including the re-allocation of resources associated with the re-mapping of franchises; running programmes associated with some of the largest public franchise contracts ever granted; running franchise bids for major companies in the UK and abroad; undertaking multi-functional due diligence audits of railway companies; running major projects for the renewal of infrastructure on the West Coast Main Line and elsewhere. We have even provided project management for the conduct of an industrial relations dispute.
Following its successes in managing projects in Britain since 2000, FCP is now developing its project and programme management capabilities in other parts of the world, notably in South Africa in relation to major projects designed to massively improve the output and efficiency of the Republic's freight lines and in Argentina where, following a feasibility study, a project for the movement of bulk freight from the country's interior to its major port is being developed.
